Generational project sewer Bitburg - igr develops renovation strategy

A large part of the sewage of the approx. 160 km long network of the city of Bitburg is older than 50 years. In order to counteract a future renovation backlog, it is necessary to react today.

In 1999 Palatia Ingenieur- und Städtebau GmbH, a subsidiary of igr, opened a building area in Rockenhausen, district Dörnbach. Due to the high demand for building land, the previously unrealized areas were also developed by the Palatia in 2020.

igr has been involved in the research project "AKUT - Incentive Systems for Municipal Flood Prevention" for two years.

The aging prognosis in sewer rehabilitation will become increasingly important in the future. With the help of the system STATUS Channel (as an application of the Barthauer BaSYS infrastructure database), igr offers its customers high-quality engineering services.

igr won in the national competition and was awarded the contract for the renovation of the "Parkhof" in the southern Hessian city of Heppenheim.
