The civil engineering work to expand the canal in the Westrich industrial center in Ramstein-Miesenbach has been successfully completed.
As part of this measure, igr was commissioned to plan and supervise the civil engineering work.In the pipe jacking process, a wastewater and a rainwater sewer were newly laid in parallel over a length of around 70 m. The installation of the two channels was carried out in two steel protection pipes, which were inserted through the rock in the area of a steep slope using the drilling-pressing method.
The drilling-pressing work was carried out from the start pit positioned below to a target pit, which had a depth of almost 10 m due to the different terrain heights. All of the work was carried out in the planned time frame from March to the end of May 2020.
