A new contract for igr d.o.o. within the framework of the cooperation programme Swiss-Croatia

In 2006, the Swiss Confederation set up a funding mechanism as the Swiss contribution to the EU expansion. Through the "expansion contribution" Switzerland contributes to the reduction of economic and social inequality in the EU.

The framework agreement between the Swiss Federal Council and the Croatian government concerning the implementation of the programme was signed in 2015. From a maximum of 45 million Swiss francs, 21 million are earmarked for the financing of environmental and infrastructure projects. It was decided to use this money to co-finance the municipal infrastructure (water and waste water) at a number of sites in the Gorski kotar area. The lead partner is the public water supply company, Komunalac d.o.o. from Delnice. The water authority, Hrvatske vode is responsible for project implementation and contract management.

One of the projects to be financed is the construction and renovation of the water supply systems in the town of Delnice, and in the municipalities of Fužine und Brod Moravice (Phase 2).

The construction, which is split into three lots, involves the installation of 3,500 m of water pipelines in Delnice and in the Fužine municipality. In the Brod Moravice municipality, the main water pipeline and the water supply system (with a length of 9,300 m) will be renovated and renewed. The total investment amounts to approximately 16,3 million Croatian kuna (HRK) (about € 2,2 million). The construction will be implemented in accordance with the FIDIC Red Book (international conditions of contract for construction).

In June 2018 igr d.o.o. signed the contracts for the construction supervision on behalf of the bidding consortium for this projects. The start of construction is scheduled for November this year, with completion due 12 months later.
