BKW is expanding its engineering network and as a result is continuing its growth in the service sector. With igr, a top-performing medium-sized business has joined BKW Engineering.
The demand for infrastructure services is very large. Simultaneously, the demand for holistic infrastructure planning is growing. This concerns efficiency, sustainability, ecology and practicality, as well as sensible resource allocation. This is exactly where the strength of BKW Engineering lies.

Therefore, igr perfectly fits BKW Engineering’s philosophy. It already utilises the interlinking of expertise within the company, but now will expand this potential to around 2 000 specialists in the network.
Both igr founders, Werner Andres and Hubert Bruch, are selling their shares to BKW. With this sale, Werner Andres, who is 67, is taking a well-earned retirement, but will remain active as an advisor to igr. Hubert Bruch is taking over the position of Executive Board. In terms of the business operations, nothing will change for either the clients or staff.
