On November 10th, 2023 the time had come: after just 3 years of planning, the starting signal was given for the expansion of the first construction phase of the 2.6 km long cycle path between Fischbach and Ruppertshain (city of Kelkheim/Taunus).

In 2020, igr was commissioned to expand the local cycle path network in this ecologically sensitive area. In addition to the traffic infrastructure, the most important thing was to take nature protection concerns into account and, in addition to working through the intervention rules and species protection, to obtain an exemption for construction in the conservation and FFH area. Various requirements from the exemption application were incorporated into the technical planning and tendering.

In addition to the complete planning and local site supervision, igr also provides ecological monitoring on site and thereby ensures that the adjacent natural areas are protected during the construction project.
