Ökumenisches Hainich Klinikum Mühlhausen

Hainich ecumenical clinic, Mühlhausen/Thuringia

igr was commissioned with the design and construction supervision of the entire infrastructural renovation of the Hainich ecumenical clinic in Mühlhausen. On the basis of a thorough review of needs, a new design of all supply and disposal systems on the clinic site (which has listed building status) was created. To facilitate the supply of services serving the clinic (district heating-, hot water- and power supplies, along with telecommunications- and IT cables), a circuit of accessible media ducting made from prefabricated reinforced concrete units was installed to connect up the buildings. The waste water and storm water infrastructure, and the drinking water and fire extinguishing water supply systems will be renewed at the same time. The traffic infrastructure of the conservation area will be renewed (whilst complying with high design standards) in the course of the infrastructure renovations.

Alongside the engineering services, igr is charged with the entire coordination of all infrastructure work external to the buildings.
